Ram Rumble Bee Pricing Meets Direct Connection: The Cheapest Path to a 600-HP Muscle Truck

Ram has now put prices on every version of the 2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee, and Direct Connection has put prices on the factory-backed parts that go with it. Put the two lists side by side and one thing jumps out: the cheapest Rumble Bee, plus Ram’s own bolt-on supercharger, lands at more than 600 horsepower for about $24,000 less than the 777-hp Rumble Bee SRT. Here’s how the numbers break down, and what the extra money for the SRT still gets you.

The Official Rumble Bee Price Ladder

Ram announced U.S. pricing on July 29, 2026. Four versions share one idea: a Quad Cab, short-bed, widebody half-ton built on a unique frame. That frame cuts the wheelbase by 13 inches and has 10% less flex than the standard Ram 1500 frame. Prices below include the $2,795 destination charge.

Even the base truck isn’t a sticker package. Car and Driver reports that the 5.7-liter Rumble Bee gets the same widebody stance, can disconnect its front axle for burnouts, and runs 0-60 mph in a claimed 6.1 seconds. The 392 cuts that to 5.2 seconds. For another $10,000, the Track Pack adds the SRT’s front end with extra cooling vents, a 4.5-inch front splitter, a rear wing, launch control, an electronically locking rear differential and the SRT’s chassis upgrades.

The SRT sits at the top. Ram calls it the most powerful, quickest and fastest V8 production pickup ever made: 0-60 mph in 3.4 seconds, the quarter mile in 11.6 seconds, and a 170-mph top speed. It also gets full-time four-wheel drive with Launch Control and an eSpool electronic locking differential. Despite all that, every Rumble Bee can still tow up to 8,890 pounds and carry up to 1,160 pounds of payload. We saw that top speed demonstrated earlier this year when Jay Leno took a Rumble Bee to 170 mph.

Direct Connection Is Selling the Upgrades From Day One

Ram isn’t pretending owners will leave these trucks stock. “Some will keep it stock. But let’s be honest – most won’t,” said Tim Kuniskis, head of American Brands at Stellantis, when pricing was announced. A week later, on August 4, Direct Connection published its Rumble Bee parts list with prices:

• 3.0-liter twin-screw supercharger kit, $10,995 plus installation. Output goes to 600+ hp on the 5.7-liter, 700+ hp on the 392, and 900+ hp on the SRT, where it replaces the factory 2.4-liter blower. The kit carries a matching 5-year/60,000-mile limited powertrain warranty if an ASE-certified Mopar technician installs it.
• Magnaflow stainless cat-back exhaust, $1,599 / $2,299 / $2,399. Priced for the Rumble Bee, the 392 and 392 Track Pack, and the SRT respectively. It uses 3-inch mandrel-bent tubing, an X-pipe and 5-inch black tips.
• Ridetech coilover lowering kit, about $4,590 expected. It lowers the truck 1 inch in front and 3 inches in the rear, with 24-way adjustable monotube dampers and tubular front control arms. It fits only the coil-sprung Rumble Bee and Rumble Bee 392.
• Graphics packages. Hood and bodyside graphics in low-gloss black, with accents that match each supercharger’s color: Ceramic Gray, Flame Red or Rumble Bee Yellow.

Doing the Math: What 600, 700 and 900 Horsepower Cost

Add the supercharger price to each truck’s price and you get this. These totals are for the parts only. They leave out installation labor, taxes and any dealer markup.

For horsepower per dollar, the supercharged base truck wins easily. It makes 600-plus horsepower for about $24,000 less than a stock SRT. The supercharged 392 costs almost exactly what a 392 Track Pack does and gives up the Track Pack’s aero and chassis hardware, but it makes roughly 230 more horsepower.

Horsepower isn’t everything, though. The SRT’s price also pays for full-time four-wheel drive, Launch Control, the eSpool locking differential and SRT-specific chassis tuning. A supercharged 5.7-liter truck still has the base truck’s drivetrain and brakes, so putting 600 horsepower down is a different job in that truck. Anyone planning to use the power at the drag strip or on a road course should budget for tires, brakes and possibly the Ridetech suspension too.

Timing matters as well. The 5.7-liter Rumble Bee and its Direct Connection parts are the only ones scheduled for late 2026. The 392, 392 Track Pack, SRT and their parts are due in the first half of 2027. That makes the supercharged base truck the only 600-hp Rumble Bee you’ll be able to build this year.

Where It Fits in Ram’s Lineup

With the Rumble Bee lineup added, Ram now sells six widebody, performance-focused half-ton pickups. The Rumble Bee is the street-focused counterpart to the 777-hp Ram 1500 TRX SRT, which uses the same supercharged 6.2-liter engine but is built for off-road use. Inside, every Rumble Bee gets a flat-bottom steering wheel, a console-mounted shifter and aluminum paddle shifters. The 14.5-inch Uconnect 5 screen, 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster and full-color head-up display are available.

The Rumble Bee rides on its own new frame, so aftermarket parts built for it are still months away. The Bottom Line

Ram priced the Rumble Bee knowing most buyers will modify it, and priced the parts to match. A roughly $74,000 path to 600-plus horsepower, arriving before the SRT does, will be tempting to a lot of muscle-truck buyers. The SRT is still the complete package with the drivetrain to use all its power.
